Why Web Design is so Important for Professional Websites

Web design has increased in importance over the last 20 years. In the early days of the internet, it was all about navigation. There wasn’t a lot of room to add your creativity on a webpage without affecting the site’s loading time. The early days of the 56k modems prevented sites on the web from ever taking off in complexity.

Eventually, we began creating high-speed networks which allowed for more complex websites. For the first time ever, they could feature graphics, videos and more. The point in which high-speed internet became readily available was the time when web design really began to matter.

Good web design can do a lot for your site. In fact, it is one of the most influential factors when it comes to how your traffic will perceive and interact with your site. Good web design will help keep your audience engaged with the content, it will increase the likelihood that they spend their time on your site, and it will increase thee conversions that your site generates. It can even help in other ways like page optimization which can improve search engine rankings, just to give you one example.

There are many different types of web page designs that are used today. Some of which include the basic flat design, which allows the visitor to easily find their way through the site and infographical sites, which are designed to give the viewer as much information in as short of an amount of time as possible.
